Kampot, 2001: These kids are Muslim Cambodians, often called Chams, whose parents are mostly fishermen along the coast of the Gulf of Siam. Outside Kampot there was a small, clean, very tight Cham community, which was always inspiring to see after passing through so many nasty villages along the highway.
