This young girl is one of nearly 30,000 Cambodians imprisoned at the Khmer Rouge prison code-named S-21, also known as Tuol Sleng. There were only seven survivors from the prison—which was open less than four years—from Pol Pot's brutal campaign to transform Cambodia into a agrarian utopia. Ultimately some 2,000,000 Cambodians died during his senseless experiment. Photo: © Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide
